I finished painting these two chairs in time for the silent auction at Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church last weekend. I received many compliments on them and was asked to paint something else for next years auction as well.

How do you treat the chairs before and after painting them to be sure they hold up to time and use?
I use a clear lacquer spray made by Rust-oleum. You can find it at Walmart for @5.00. Rust-oleum also makes a black laquer so make sure the lid is the clear color not black.
